About

We believe that education is the answer to eradicating Haiti’s cycle of poverty and instability because it gives people access to a better quality of life. A population who is educated is more capable of bringing positive change to their country.  It is in the spirit of wanting to educate Haiti now that this non-profit organization was formed.

Our mission is to rehabilitate the education sector in Haiti so that all Haitian children, whether wealthy or underprivileged,  have access to quality schooling.

We plan to bring about positive and permanent change to the education sector by implementing three primary strategies:

First and foremost, we seek to eliminate the stigma associated with careers in the educational field by encouraging those outside this sector to consider education as a profession. Incentives, such as subsidized tuition, will aid in recruiting possible candidates.

Secondly, we are staunchly committed to supporting and training current teachers within Haiti. Our teacher training classes will serve as forums in which educators will learn new approaches, stay abreast of innovative techniques in education and share ideas and resources.

Lastly, EHN is simultaneously focused on supporting and training administrators (directors, administrators, principals etc…) as part of this undertaking. EHN sponsored conferences will act as platforms for administrators to communicate with one another, and share their knowledge, experiences, and solutions about various schooling matters.

We fervently believe that a focus on these singular areas will provide trans-formative and long-lasting change to the lives of Haitian students.
