Founded in 1994, The Fort Adams Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration of Historic Fort Adams, a Priority I Threatened National Landmark and Save America’s Treasures Restoration Project. The Trust has partnered with the State of Rhode Island to keep the Fort open to the public and seek funding for restoration. Fort Adams is now under restoration and is open for tours daily from mid-May through October. Additionally, the Fort has been used as the site of a variety of special events, most notably the Jazz and Folk Festivals each August.
