From The Heart Productions (www.fromtheheartproductions.com) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to funding films that are “unique and make a contribution to society”. Established in 1992 by Carole Dean, the grants are named in honor of her father who was a great supporter of financially strapped filmmakers
From The Heart produces the Roy W. Dean Film Grant which is awarded three times each year in Spring, Summer, and Fall. Winners receive film products and services which help get their project completed. The Roy W. Dean Grant gets films with important messages produced that otherwise may have never been made. Founded in 1992, the Roy W. Dean Film Grant has awarded nearly $2,000,000 in film products and services.
From The Heart Productions is also a fiscal sponsor for independent filmmakers. As a a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, all donations for filmmakers are tax deductible. From The Heart Productions also provides filmmaking advice and provides consultation on projects as part of the donation package.
