About

Gaelick is Ireland's award-winning online publication for lesbians, bisexual women, and trans* people.

We include an editorial team of three, and a motley crew of of writers comprising creatives, media, current affairs and politics junkies, bookworms, film fanatics, students and professionals – all with one thing in common.

Gaelick began in 2008, the brainchild of award-winning web developer, Michelle Farrell, who asked a plethora of people to join her as writers on a new project. Since then, the blog has grown and changed in many respects, as we adapt to what our readers want to see online.

We’ve been nominated for a number of awards: the Irish Blog Awards, the Irish Net Visionary Awards, the GALAs – and won Best Blogger Award at the inaugural GALAs.
