About

Gottlieb & Associates have specialized in Software Asset Management and Software Auditing for over 20 years. Over the years we have participated in projects, both in the U.S. and abroad. Herbert Gottlieb, our CEO, is an industry leader and pioneer in SAM. He has written and published many articles about SAM, spoken at numerous conferences and served on various committees related to the industry.

Our working model for a Software Asset Management project is unique in the sense that we base our work on best practices and complete each project in logical phases. Each phase paving the way for the next which result in the complete normalization of our clients software assets. Based on our experience, we know how to execute a project quickly at a low costs that insures a return on our clients investment in our services.

In order to complete Software Asset Management projects quickly, we have developed customized tools and techniques. All clients are different, so are their systems and IT environments. Implementation and operation of modern computer systems requires special knowledge and experience as far as Software Asset Management is concerned.

Training is also crucial to the successful implementation of software asset management. We were the co-creator of the SIIA's (SPA’s) original Certified Software Manager (CSM) course and then taught it to over 2,500 IT Professionals. We have also worked closely with IAITAM in the content and delivery of their CSAM and CHAMP courses. We also conduct periodic online webinars discussing the various challenges of SAM with the attendees and suggesting solutions to those challenges.

We have been involved in dozens of software piracy enforcement actions for the BSA, SIIA, Microsoft, Autodesk and other major software publishers as well as helping companies respond to such audits. As a result we have firsthand experience in how to handle an audit request from one of the major Software Publishers.
