Joseph D. Grisanti, Attorney At Law
Bringing Clients A Wealth Of Experience And Service

Experience is one thing of which Joseph D. Grisanti has plenty. Not only has Joe been an attorney, he has enforced the law and followed the law. Joe has dealt with many different issues and helped his clients through difficult litigation on local, state and federal levels. His law experience is extensive. Joe has a Juris Doctor law degree from St. John’s University. Straight from college, he worked for the Legal Aid Society in New York. Although he only spent one year in this position, the experience he gained representing many individuals accused of violating the New York Penal Code is a great asset to his decorum and success in the courtroom.

Joe was an associate with the law firm of Durkin and Durkin, P.C., Newark, and Wilbert and Montenegro, P.C., Brick, participating in complex civil and criminal litigation in federal and state courts. He represented both individuals and businesses. Joe then went on to establish his own general law practice that deals with all aspects of civil and criminal litigation. However, Joe has also participated in the enforcement of law, gaining a complete understanding of the judicial system of the United States.

He served as Assistant General counsel for the City of New York Department of Consumer Affairs. During his year in this position, he supervised the investigation of financial transactions for members of the commercial refuse industry. He also investigated and prosecuted violators of the Consumer Protection Laws of the City of New York.

To add to his law enforcement experience, Joe served as a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He was part of the Criminal Reactive Unit, which is responsible for the investigation of white collar crime and bank robberies. Joe served on the Foreign Counter-Intelligence Squad, specializing in complex and sensitive national security investigations. He was also appointed security officer for the Newark Field Division. His responsibilities included internal security investigations, security training for support personnel and physical protection of classified information.

Joe was a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves. He has served on the Jackson Board of Education. In 2001, he was elected to his second term on the Jackson Township Committee and has served as both Jackson’s mayor and deputy mayor.

Joe is admitted to the New York and New Jersey State Bars, United States District Court, United States Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Joe has been using, enforcing and learning about the law for most of his life. His expertise has driven him to have his own private law practice, where he serves the public professionally and effectively. Joe serves as a Municipal Prosecutor, formerly for Brick and Howell Township, and presently for Berkeley Township.

For Joe, the law is something he has been a part of for many, many years. With his experience, he is able to provide clients with the kind of representation it takes to obtain appropriate compensation in personal injury cases

The FBI and the City of New York have allowed Joe to be their counselor and so should you. Joe understands the law and is able to help you with all your litigation needs. Slips and falls, work related injuries, traffic tickets, DWIs, auto accidents, wills and estates, real estate, criminal law, juvenile law and more, Joe will work with you and get you the settlement you deserve. His experience more than proves he holds a commitment to the public with honesty and integrity, two factors unheard of in the general perception of lawyers.
