San
Diego, CA -- February 4, 2010 -- San Diego, California-based video game design
company, Interabang Entertainment LLC, has released its first title, Brooklyn
to Babylon: Shinobi Ninja Attacks!, for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The
game--an innovative, over-the-top, beat-'em-up game featuring members of rock
band Shinobi Ninja--is a milestone for the upstart company. It is available now
from the Apple iTunes store. "This is an exciting time for our company and
even more exciting time for gamers," says Justin Woodward, CEO of
Interabang Entertainment. "We're happy to be able to offer such an unique
marketing tool for Shinobi Ninja. And we're thrilled to be able to create a
fun, immersive experience for players that they can access right from their
phones." In the game, players choose from one of four
members of Shinobi Ninja. They navigate their selected band members through the
cartoon streets of Brooklyn to get to the band's gig at Club Babylon. In
classic, retro-gaming fashion, players must pummel their way through any evil
hipsters, drunken subway dwellers, pucker-mouthed douche bags, portly bouncers
resembling a certain Miami rapper "boss," or anything else they may
encounter on their journey to the club. As players progress through the levels,
they are able to unlock Shinobi Ninja songs and music videos for download. Taking advantage of the Apple products' GPS
navigation capabilities, players who attend Shinobi Ninja concerts will be able
to download additional content for the game. This sort of multimedia
cross-promotional strategy allows the band to constantly engage with fans,
giving fans more reasons to visit the band in the virtual game world and at
their live performances. Brooklyn to Babylon: Shinobi Ninja Attacks! marks
Interabang Entertainment's first foray into the video game market. Shinobi
Ninja approached the company last year to develop the game. Interabang has
worked with the band from the beginning, conceptualizing game mechanics and
visual design and executing their vision to the end. "We chose to work on this project because we
saw that it had the potential to be something more than just another
game," says Woodward. "It's a fun game in it's own right, yes. But it
changes the way we look at games, how they can be used, and how players can
interact with them." Brooklyn to Babylon: Shinobi Ninja Attacks! is a
collaboration between Interabang Entertainment, Shinobi Ninja, and Cerulean
Games. The full retail version is available from the Apple iTunes store. A
"Live" version is also available for free download from the App
Store, which unlocks the full game while attending a Shinobi Ninja Concert. About Interabang Entertainment Interabang Entertainment LLC is a video game
