About

Stemtech Health Sciences
was founded in 2005, but the company’s
story begins decades earlier with the
discovery of Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA)
in the 1970s.
1990's: Nature Meets Science
Christian Drapeau arrived on the AFA scene in the 1990s. As a botanical researcher and neurophysiologist, Christian was asked to research the science behind what currently equated to speculation about the benefits of AFA.

With the support of his research team, Christian began experimenting with the botanical. Soon thereafter, the scientific community reported findings revealing that AFA contained specific molecules that supported various aspects of human health. Yet many of the plant’s benefits remained unexplained.
Inspired by new developments in adult stem cell research, Christian was struck with a novel idea - what if AFA was somehow supporting the body in naturally releasing more stem cells?

Motivated by the new challenge, the research team went into high gear. More than 150 experiments later, Christian and his team experienced a breakthrough. At last, they had isolated the unique components responsible for AFA’s benefits.

Based on this extraordinary discovery, Christian developed a proprietary blend of AFA concentrates that offered consumers a practical method of taking advantage of the botanical’s health benefits in the form of a supplement. His next feat would include bringing the product to the global market.
2005: Stemtech is Founded
With a unique product in his possession, Christian needed a business partner that shared his passion for adult stem cell nutrition and his vision for the future. He found such a partner in Ray Carter, a seasoned business entrepreneur. Christian and Ray worked tirelessly to form Stemtech, launching the company with a single product made from the unique blend of AFA concentrates – StemEnhance®.
2007: Stemtech on the Rise
With the launch of StemEnhance, Stemtech grows exponentially. Growth is partially fueled by a groundbreaking clinical study published in the highly respected journal, Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine. This study helps to define Stemtech as the leader of the adult stem cell nutrition industry.
2008: Growth and Expansion
With its network marketing business model in full effect, sales of Stemtech products begin to boom. Worldwide demand for StemEnhance encourages global expansion and Stemtech opens offices in more than a dozen countries on six continents.
2009: Industry Accolades
2009 proved to be a big year for Stemtech. In addition to establishing a solid reputation as the global leader in adult stem cell nutrition, Stemtech was chosen as one of three finalists for the US Direct Selling Association’s prestigious Rising Star award.
2010: Recognition
Following industry wide accolades a year earlier, Stemtech received national recognition in the US in 2010 by making Inc.’s coveted Inc. 5,000 list of fastest-growing privately held companies in America (ranked 1,484 out of over 29 million companies).
2011: Record Global Sales
