About

Following stints as an apprentice copy editor and as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (http://www.pw.org/content/2011_mfa_rankings_the_top_fifty_0), I journeyed to Japan, where I developed skills in adapting to cultural differences that served me well both as an instructor to diverse American students and as a freelance writer covering local lifestyle issues and the Chicago legal community.

My training in the arts has aided me in developing compelling narratives about the difficult practice of fields like tax and insurance law. As a writer I strive to bring to life the drama and evolving challenges that animate different topics of concern.
