Jimi Hendrix Inspires Free iPhone App For
Spreading Love After the “End of the World”

Los Angeles, CA, December 21, 2012 — Jimi Hendrix once said, “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.” That got entrepreneur Matt Fortnow thinking: “There must be a way we can utilize current technology to increase the power of love in the world… and ultimately bring about world peace.” Teaming up with app developer Moyo, they created LovePowerup, a simple, yet powerful free iPhone app.

With a dynamic interface and the latest geo-mapping and social media technologies, LovePowerup users participate in and track the power of love around the world. You can send love to people who need it and receive love when you need it. And every time someone sends or receives love, not only do they feel better, it increases the power of love in the world, bringing us all closer to world peace.

“As the world becomes increasingly rooted in digital interaction, Matt’s initiative truly resonated, and we were honored to be chosen as his development partner,” said Christie LePage, Producer at Moyo. “LovePowerup brings a unique positive aspect to the use of mobile media.”

LovePowerup utilizes an advanced algorithm to determine who receives sent love. Although in the current version users remain anonymous, they are shown the city and country of the love’s sender or receiver. Users also have their own individual My Love page that details all their user-specific activity.

On the ending of the Mayan calendar, LovePowerup is being released to help usher in a new era of consciousness. Due to the desire to be ready for this momentous date and the holidays, LovePowerup is still in its early stages. There are many features the developers plan to add in the coming weeks, as well as an Android release in January. They welcome any feedback and suggestions from users on how to make LovePowerup even more enjoyable and powerful.

LovePowerup is available free, as there should be no price or barriers to spreading love around the world. So this holiday season, give the gift of love. Download LovePowerup from the App Store at http://lovepowerup.com/iphone.
