About

Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that assists individuals with mental illness to recover in the areas of their lives impacted by their illness through housing, behavioral healthcare, and assistance with obtaining and managing their disability income.

MIRCI was founded in 1960 to provide community based mental health services as the state psychiatric hospital began to discharge patients back to the community.  Originally the agency operated a psycho-social rehabilitative clubhouse.  Over the years, MIRCI has grown into a behavioral health care provider specializing in supportive housing and behavioral healthcare for persons with serious mental illness and substance use disorders - many of whom were homeless upon service entry.
