About

The Going the Distance Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in July 2011 by Stephen T. Millhouse. Headquartered in Missoula, Montana, our mission is to create and execute unique projects that raise awareness and funds for social justice issues. The My One Man March (MOMM) is the Foundation’s kick-off fundraising event, in which Stephen Millhouse is walking 1,460 miles — the average number of miles a homeless person walking in a year in search of food, shelter and healthcare services — from Missoula, MT to Los Angeles, CA in order to raise $1 million for successful and committed programs addressing hunger and homelessness in America. Money raised will be granted back to identified programs in the four states through which Mr. Millhouse is walking (MT, ID, NV, and CA) and others. Anyone wishing to donate or learn more about this cause can do so on the My One Man March website at http://myonemanmarch.org/. They are seeking donations of 1 cent per mile that Stephen walks ($14.60). Stephen’s progress can be followed on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
