About

The New Jersey Theatre Alliance supports a thriving statewide professional theatre community with a wealth of resources. The Alliance provides innovative, collaborative and engaging programming for theatres and their diverse audiences.

Members include large and small theatres — each one a fully-functioning business with paid staff and artists (designers, technicians, directors and actors). These theatres
support the economic development of the state, contribute to their communities with outreach and arts education opportunities, and offer theatre that inspires, challenges
and entertains close to one million theatre-goers annually.

Cornerstones of the Theatre Alliance’s public programming include:

Bi-annual calendar: Featuring the mainstage seasons of each of our senior members.

Artist Membership: Supporting New Jersey’s community of theatre artists, this program serves individuals including actors, directors, playwrights, designers and stage managers.

Stages Festival: A program that offers free and discounted performances, workshops and events at New Jersey professional theatres, libraries, senior centers and other non-traditional venues every March.

njArtsTix.org: The discount ticketing website for the best of New Jersey’s performing arts.

Cultural Access Network Project: A co-sponsored project with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State — the Project assists theatres and the state’s cultural community in making their programs and facilities accessible to people with disabilities.
