About

Founded in 2003, NuCrypt focuses on engineering problems at the interface of optics, electronics, and quantum phenomena. It is an outgrowth of research initially performed at the Center for Photonic Communication and Computing at Northwestern University which focused on using the inherent quantum properties of light to solve practical problems, particularly in the field of secure optical communications (cryptography).

The company has evolved over time to develop other technologies including radio frequency wireless versions of our secure communication systems, sources of entangled light, and high resolution photonic assisted analog-to-digital converters. Such advanced technologies are useful for instrumentation, communications, and cryptography.
