Pacific Private Equity Group

Pacific Private Equity Group consists of three businesses: (1) Pacific Fund Management Ltd. (managing a family of specialized co-investment funds targeting private equity in Japan), (2) Pacific Technology Partners (the first pure play technology buyout firm in Asia), and (3)  Pacific Ventures LLC (consulting services to private equity investors on projects related to Asia).

Pacific Fund Management, Ltd. specializes in organizing and managing co-investments in unique private equity opportunities in Asia, utilizing differentiated strategies to access underserved niche markets.  PFM works on a cooperative basis with leading private equity firms across the region, bringing to bear the long experience of PFM's principals in the structuring and execution of complex cross-border transactions, and PFM's network of relationships with institutional investors around the world.  PFM presently manages approximately $100 million of private equity assets through a family of specialized funds.  To date, the PFM funds have made investments in 15 companies.  The two full exits from PFM's portfolio have collectively produced gross returns of 3.0x capital and an IRR of 61% for PFM's investors.

Pacific Technology Partners was founded Grant Finlayson and Adriaan Ligtenberg with the mission of achieving superior risk-adjusted returns by investing in Japan-centric companies with unrealized potential for significant growth and profitability.  PTP works on a cooperative basis with leading private equity firms across in Asia, providing technology and market knowledge and typically making minority equity co-investments ranging from $5M to $30M.  In addition, PTP provides strategic consulting services to technology companies and investors in the telecommunications, semiconductor, hardware, and software industries.

Pacific Ventures LLC provides advisory services to private equity investment firms on projects requiring cross-borders networks and transactional skills, including deal sourcing, transaction management, recruiting, and fundraising.  PV leverages over 20 years experience living and working in the international investment communities of Asia to support its clients in the achievement of key objectives.  PV's networks include the leading GP firms across the Asia Pacific region, as well as the top institutional investors in Asia as well as U.S. based investors with appetite for investment in the region.
