In addition to helping physicians figure out what type of non-clinical careers may be a good fit, she is able to help them deal with the emotional uncertainty that comes with any major change. She has had over 27 years of experience in her private practice helping a variety of professionals transition to new careers. She understands the complexities involved in giving up the security of a high status career.

Dr. Uhr has published over 50 articles as well as 8 books in personal development.

She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Pomona College in Claremont, California. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she later served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.

Dr. Uhr is a psychiatrist and a physician coach in Dallas, Texas. She has a busy private practice and has developed supplemental sources of income that have inspired her to help other physicians do the same.
