About |
Pocket Lips are a group of Producers and Engineers who formed as an outfit in early
2008 after previously individually working and touring with other artists as diverse as
Roots Manuva through to Babyshambles.
The Pockets roots lay in hip-hop but played in a new unique way which is heavily
influenced by breakbeat and funky electronic grooves. An out and out good time band,
Pocket Lips have been spreading their party vibes throughout the UK, creating a grass
roots buzz across London
The band have recently been asked by Ben Hudson himself to officially re-mix his next
single. This track is from Mr Hudsons new studio album Straight No Chaser. London DJ
GoldieRocks has also recently re-mixed one of the bands tracks, dropping the Pockets on
dance floors over the capital.
In 2009 Pocket Lips supported the Dub Pistols on their Rum & Coke Tour kicking off in
Koko, London before traveling all over the UK over 2 months. The band have also
supported Mr Hudson, I Blame Coco, Iglu & Hartly, Plan B and Matt Berry.
One off shows have also included YOYO, The Great Escape, The Secret Garden Party,
Lounge On The Farm, London Scala, Ban Jam, Sensible Sundays and Rooz Studios.
The band have just self released their debut, self titled EP. All the tracks have been
played by Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 multiple times in advance of its release. Pocket
Lips are currently working towards touring and label interest.
