Rasvihar is a brand of handcrafted jewellery founded in September, 2007 in Chennai. Rasvihar takes its name from two Sanskrit words, where ras means senses, and vihar means roof. Rasvihar is housed in a luxurious 6,500 square feet vintage bungalow.
Ahalya has trained the traditional Indian way in dance and fine art, and is certified by the International Gemological Institute. She insists that jewellery should have style, substance, and soul. She uses her extensive knowledge of Indian jewellery as the starting point for her work, which is entirely attuned to evolving global aesthetics.
