DRC’s reconfigurable processors are shipping in volume and are being used for data and compute intensive applications. Previously considered specialized for high performance computing applications the technology has now reached the mainstream of computing with endorsements from Intel and AMD. The market for these processors is expected to top $1B a year by 2012.
Applications for the DRC processor range from financial trading applications where “time-is-money” and every millisecond of improved performance is worth millions of dollars, to security applications needing to process vast image databases in a few seconds to identify potential terrorists, to companies wanting to vastly improve time to market by accelerating the development process.
