Our History

Tech+ Consulting was established by the technology loving entrepreneur, Chris Stovle in the Spring of 2014. Chris is no stranger to small business; his first IT company was started in 8th grade (which by 11th grade was doing $24,000 in sales as a part time business) before Chris went on to consult for Microsoft (12th grade), and work for IBM while studying business at the University of Alberta. Chris then went on to found a retail computer repair store - Rocky Mountain Computers Ltd in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 2009.

The whole time Chris had one dream: California. Tired of the snow and cold Chris took on partners at his retail computer store, and sold the majority of the company to a great guy: Daniel Braniff. After he battled through immigration for nearly a year he and his loving wife Roz moved to the Bay Area and found themselves in Jingletown, Oakland. After a few months getting to know the area and exploring new businesses Chris setup this company with one simple mission: "To Make Tech+ your Strategic Technology Partner". This means more than just handling your day to day IT needs. We see ourselves being your business partner and trusted technical advisor. Let's grow together: Tech+ You.

A Letter from Our Founder:

Often in our industry people and companies take shortcuts. They want to make a quick profit or win the bid by being the lowest price. What seems like the best deal at the time often causes headaches down the road. Suddenly it takes days to get a call back, or stuff randomly breaks for no reason.

I'd like to take a minute to share my business philosophy with you. There are three universal elements: Price, Quality, and Time. Any company trying to offer all three isn't sustainable. I'm here looking to offer two: Quality and Time. Why time and not price? Well the businesses we serve can't go days without their technology working. Their time is worth money. Quality also relates back to price; if you cheap out on quality it often fails and more time is wasted trying to fix it than just spending a couple extra bucks for quality in the first place. Often the clients we serve and the vendors we choose reflect our same values and ideology. I invite you to share yours.

- Chris Stovle, President.
