About

Mark and Michelle Bishop of Princeton, West Virginia, are the proud owners of The Soap Peddler. The Soap Peddler is a home-based business known locally for its handcrafted specialty soaps such as goat milk soap, coconut milk soap, beer soap, and coffee soap.

The Soap Peddler also produces an extensive skin care line that consists of naturally derived ingredients. The skin care line includes items such as goat milk lotion, cocoa butter tub truffles, solid sugar scrub bars for the shower, waterless lotion bars (aka "Butter Stick"), whipped body butters, and even a hempseed oil lip lube. Beyond the bath and body products, The Soap Peddler offers a variety of fragrance options for their soy wax candles, made in 8 ounce "jelly" jars.

The company started out small, selling at one local vendor booth in Mercer county, West Virginia. The Soap Peddler has since expanded to include 4 West Virginia vendor locations for in-person sales, 1 Virginia vendor location for in-person sales, an internet store for retail global marketing, and an internet store for wholesale global marketing.

Much of the research and development is performed by Michelle Bishop, with the Production and Distribution being the specialty of Mark Bishop, and both equally take care of Marketing, Financial planning, Customer Service, and other areas of the business operations.
