About

John Lehndorff has been involved with food one way or another since he worked for a caterer in central Massachusetts as a teenager putting on clambakes for up to 1,000 people. After graduating from McGill University in Montreal, he moved to Boulder where he worked in the restaurant industry, taught cooking classes, hosted a weekly food radio program and wrote about food for various publications. For 15 years, he was an award-winning food editor, writer and nationally published Nibbles food columnist for the Daily Camera, followed by eight years as the dining critic and columnist of the Rocky Mountain News. He was also the executive director of the America Pie Council, author of Denver Dines ( a restaurant guide book), and judge for the James Beard Foundation awards. His writing has appeared in the Washington Post, USA Today, Food Network Magazine, Town & Country, New York Times, San Jose Mercury News, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Miami Herald, Chicago Tribune, and many other publications.

He is currently the publisher of The Pie Calendar 2010 and chief researcher for Eat In Eat Out, a new magazine-style business-to-business food and dining trends report from the American Forecaster. He is also member of the advisory Culinary Council for the Sterling Rice Group.
