“A prudent question is one half of wisdom.” Francis Bacon

The Right Questions is a simple methodology to help people and organisations become more effective in achieving their goals.

If we want to solve a challenge, whether in a personal or business context, first we have to correctly frame the problem. We do this by asking questions. Philosophers identified the most essential questions over two thousand years ago but much of these first principles have been lost in our education today, partly due to layers of complexity that have been added as we deal with an increasingly complex world.

Because of the overload of information we are exposed to we often miss out on important factors if we do not use some sort of process to aid our analysis of a situation. But there is a problem with processes too; a lot of systems rely on jargon that is not memorable or straightforward to apply. Therefore we need an easy to access tool to deal with complex and evolving situations.

The good news is that the main questions we need to ask are actually embedded in our language.  The seven basic interrogative questions of what, where, why, when, who, how and which are the triggers we need to unlock any problem; we just need to understand their application. This is where The Right Questions comes in.

The Right Questions methodology is about delving into the seven core interrogatives and finding out how they can be applied to explore strategy and implement planning. The Right Questions also provides coaching and consultancy services along with tools and information.

The Right Questions was developed by Simon Ash.

Ask the right questions, get the right answers, and be more effective.
