Tamika Curry Smith is our Founder and President. Before founding The TCS Group, Tamika was the Director of Diversity at Target Corporation, where she was responsible for developing the diversity strategy for Target’s corporate headquarters, stores, and distribution centers and leading the organization’s focus on diversity recruitment and retention, awareness and communication, and measurement.

Prior to her role with Target, Ms. Curry Smith was the Director of Diversity Programs for Deloitte Consulting, where her responsibilities included leading the design and execution of Deloitte’s overall diversity strategy in the Americas and coordinating initiatives with senior management.

Ms. Curry Smith earned a BBA in Accounting from the University of Michigan. She also obtained an MBA in Organizational Behavior, Strategy, and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Tamika has shared her expertise as a speaker at numerous events, such as the National Society of Hispanic MBAs Conference, the National Black MBA Association Conference, the Kellogg School of Management Leadership Conference, and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business Black Business Students Association Conference. She also has been a featured speaker as part of the Lecture Series co-sponsored by the Johnnetta B. Cole Global Diversity & Inclusion Institute and Bennett College for Women. In addition, Ms. Curry Smith has served as a teacher and facilitator at the Monster Diversity Leadership Program, the INROADS Leadership Development Institute, and the PowerGirls Leadership Institute. In addition, she has been quoted in numerous articles and publications, including the New York Times Magazine, DiversityInc, Adweek, and Diversity Edge Magazine.

Tamika has received various awards, among them the Chairman’s Award from the National Black MBA Association, the Peak Achievement Award from INROADS, AZ Business Magazine’s 50 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business, and Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.

Tamika Curry Smith is an INROADS alumna, lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association, and member of the Georgia Diversity Council. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Grand Canyon Bank (Proposed) and AZ StRUT (Arizona Students Recycling Used Technology). She is also a former member of the Board of Directors of Teach for America – Kansas City.
