About

I’m an English speaking native with a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Liverpool. I can write in UK and American English, and I understand the importance of using a tone appropriate to my client’s in house style. Collectively, I have over nine years worth of journalistic, editorial and copywriting experience that stands testament to my ability to write profound, coherent and fluid articles.

I have vast experience of writing for print and digital publications, combined with a brilliant understanding of SEO and referencing. I’ve worked on local, national and international levels, contributing articles to broadsheets (The Guardian), tabloids (The Liverpool Echo, Bristol Evening Post), established websites (The Line of Best Fit, Drowned in Sound, God is in the TV) and broadcasters (BBC Introducing, 4music). I currently contribute to, edit and publish a Prince’s Trust endorsed music magazine and website called DrunkenWerewolf. Through these projects I have been nominated for several writing and business awards, including the 4Music Music Journalism Awards and BT’s Best Blogger.

I have experience of writing for copywriting agencies (iTrigga, Purecontent), as a PR consultant (Universal, Ladyfest), and for a wide variety of clients in a freelance capacity. I’ve contributed copy to sites ranging an American defence recruitment agency to a new music app coming out of London. This copy is clear, concise and informative, while retaining a strong sense of identity and fun. My keen eye for perfection allows me to gain the attention and trust of any person reading my copy.

My research skills are second to none and I can confidently write about any topic put in front of me. I have invaluable knowledge of SEO and industry-orientated buzzwords, helping to drastically increase the pagerank of the companies that I work with, while building a digital reputation from which my clients can flourish.

My intuitive sense of business and marketing has resulted in me leading several successful UK-based campaigns (Zugme, Digby Duke). I am extremely driven and committed to the projects I undertake, and I pull out all of the stops to make sure a campaign is successful in the long term. My proficient networking skills allow me to recruit acclaimed professionals, while gaining partnerships with companies ranging AllSaints, the BBC, ASOS, Universal, Bestival and many more.

As an editor, I have experience of working with companies and individuals based in Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States on a variety of subjects. I have collaborated with individuals on an academic and personal basis. I am able to bring a writer’s words to the fore without compromising their voice.
