Traveling Chix Mobile Spa is managed by Oby Nwaogbe, who is a licensed Esthetician and has a few years of experience as a beauty professional.
MISSION STATEMENT: The mission for TRAVELING CHIX MOBILE SPA is to help clients relax in the comfort of their own home or office, and to educate them on Skin Care and the importance of being healthy from the inside out. In this current economy, not everyone can afford a vacation, and that’s where TRAVELING CHIXS MOBILE SPA comes in. We help clients have a SPA-CATION, meaning at home spa relaxation. The beauty of it all, is that after the service, the client doesn’t have to get dressed to go home or deal with traffic; the relaxation lingers.
TRAVELING CHIX MOBILE SPA also caters to young girls too with our kids mobile Spa. The latest trend in mobile spa services is kids spa parties! What a great way for girls ages 6-12 to spend a day with their friends enjoying a spa party in their own home. One reason for this latest craze is because most stationary spas do not allow children under the age of 12. Young girls are becoming more educated in all areas of beauty. With TV, movies, singers and models, girls are starting to ask earlier about wearing makeup to having manicures and pedicures and many other beauty treatments.
OUR STORY Traveling Chix Mobile Spa is inspired by, Oby Nwaogbe. She has over 8yrs experience spanning business and entrepreneurial sectors. An entrepreneur at heart, Oby successfully founded her video production company in 2006, ObOne Prodcutions, LLC. She worked her way up from being a project manager to the Senior Producer and Reporter at a local television station in the Washington DC area. She received her A.A.S in Television and Radio Production from Montgomery College, Rockville, MD, a B.A in Journalism from Howard University, Washington DC, and an Esthetics License from the Aveda Institute Washington DC. Being a Spa lover for years, Oby decided to pursue another dream of hers of owning a spa. So she went on to “The Aveda Institute, Washington DC where she obtained a degree in Science of Esthiology and is now a licensed Esthetician, Oby has a wealth of knowledge about the beauty industry. She loves educating people on skincare through her blogs, seminars and trade shows. Oby’s goal is to merge her background in television and skincare and use it to empower people to live abundantly, holistically, and beautifully.
