About FTAA

The Federation of Turkish American Associations, Inc., based in New York City, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, was established in 1956 for the purpose of uniting and supporting the Turkic community within the United States. Since it's conception, it has successfully established a vital link between the Turkic and American communities. The Federation has evolved with the changing times and has expanded in size, membership and purpose.Today, the Federation is an umbrella organization consisting of over 47 member associations with a majority of these groups located in the Northeast region of the United States.

The Federation also strives to provide maximum exposure of Turkic culture, music, history and overall knowledge of Turkey  to the U.S. public. This is achieved through cultural activities and other public relations activities throughout the United States.

FTAA organizes the biggest and largest Turkish Cultural event outside of Turkey mid May. FTAA also organizes social, educational and networking events nationwide
