About

TWS Automation is an Italian company established in 1997 with the precise strategy of satisfying the needs of small–medium volume SMT productions.
Since then, more than 1,300 lines, typically composed of a screen printer, a P&P and an oven, have been delivered all over the world.

TWS Automation is part of the TWS Group, a designer and manufacturer of special navigation systems for marine, aviation and automotive applications.
Originally, TWS Automation had been created to address, as target-customers, similar companies whose demand is fractioned in a multitude of production series that range from tens, to tens of thousands pieces.
And, in fact, the TWS Group was not only the first customer, but, during its expansion, it has increased the number of machines rather than buying a high volume line that would have compromised the flexibility.

Over the years TWS has enriched the range of machines and accessories, while the speed and accuracy of its products have followed the advancing technology, but its philosophy has never changed.

TWS Automation machines must offer the best compromise between performance and simplicity, thus  making maintenance accessible to the average user so to spare the cost of expensive maintenance contracts, while a no-frills design conceived for functionality offers the best form factor in the industry, saving expensive real estate space.

All this is made possible by leveraging the advanced technical resources of the Group, thus allowing a total in-house approach in every aspect of its machines, from the mechanical design to the electronics and software, contrary to most other competitors that have chosen the more conservative course of being integrators of third party standard sub-systems (e.g. motion packages, computer vision, software libraries, etc.).

Because of this extreme customization approach, TWS Automation products have still no match in the market for affordability, quality, fast setup and number of installable loaders when the company’s needs range from prototyping to medium production series.
