About

Unsigned Muso Magazine, or as we like to affectionately call it – UM, is a free bi-monthly print publication written by music professionals offering advice to ‘musos’ throughout the UK.

The term ‘muso’ covers anyone obsessed with making music! So our content is relevant to anyone with an ambition to make it in the music industry.  UM offers the reader tips on how to harness their talent and stand out from the rest by featuring interviews with successful signed bands or acts that are able to offer insight into their own journey to the top.

Each issue includes a broad range of artists from a variety of genres so that all bases are covered for the readership that could range from a young vocalist singing covers, through to a fully established original rock band looking for a management contract.

Distribution

30,000 print copies distributed across the UK!
•     15,000 posted to unsigned musicians and singers
•     10,000 distributed at unsigned music competitions
•     5,000 available at various music outlets nationwide

UM work closely with a number of unsigned national music competitions and relevant events that allow a more proactive distribution method delivering the magazine directly into the hands of the target readership.

In addition, UM is currently in the process of securing key distribution points in every main city across the UK.  These locations will include the prime spots for musos to hang out such as music shops, gig venues, recording studios and rehearsal facilities. In terms of the number of print copies, UM intends to keep up with reader demand and increase the print if necessary.

In addition to print copies, we publish back issues online to issuu.com/unsignedmusomag to a further online international readership.
