Servicing and Maintenance:-
We have extensive experience of the best approach needed to clean, decontaminate, maintain and service air movement systems to ensure the highest standards of air quality, hygiene, safety and energy efficiency are maintained.

Air Quality
Extracting harmful fumes and retaining a fresh flow of clean air is essential in maintaining a healthy and productive workplace. Insufficient fresh clean air may lead to tiredness, lethargy, headaches, dry or itchy skin and eye irritation for occupants in an office or building. This is known as Sick Building Syndrome and is supported by The Health & Safety Executive’s document HSG202 Guidance for Employers.

Health & Safety
It is important to keep heating, ventilation and air conditioning ductwork systems clean to avoid the accumulation of dust, dirt and other potentially harmful bacteria. A build-up of these components can cause safety hazards in the workplace and a serious compromise in hygiene standards.

Fire Hazard
Ventilation systems can present a fire hazard if fire dampers are not properly maintained. Fire dampers are installed in ventilation systems to prevent the spread of fire, and therefore regular safety checks are essential to ensure they are in good working order. Building and facilities managers have a legal obligation to prevent the risk of fire within the buildings they manage under The Fire Safety Order (2005).

Energy Efficiency
Deposits can accumulate in areas within ductwork and the equipment of a ventilation system, including the air handling units, volume control dampers, and turning vanes. These deposits can impair the system performance, leading to noisy or uncomfortable working conditions plus expensive running costs. The working life of the ductwork and ventilation equipment can be extended through regular maintenance and servicing.
