About

CLEVELAND, October 29, 2015 --- A team of Cleveland-based young entrepreneurs have developed an easy-to-use cloud based software that allows for quick creation of virtual tours.  Digital technology, such as these virtual tours, are being used more frequently by multiple industries.  College admissions teams benefit from these tours, as well as real estate agents, restaurants, and other industries searching for an innovative method to showcase their unique destinations.

The company, which recently graduated from the Flashstarts Accelerator in downtown Cleveland, just launched a do-it-yourself virtual tour option.  This way, participants from any industry will be able to afford this technology, and have full control over the customization.

“Our software is disrupting the traditional virtual tour creation process” founder Jonathan Fox states, “it allows you to take the reins on what areas of your space you want to highlight.  We are seeing this technology take off in every industry, but is often at a bank-breaking price.  We realized that and made it so that our service is accessible for everyone because we want everyone to benefit.”

After making headway among its initial market of higher education customers, Virtual Compass is working to expand its reach by offering tours of event spaces and corporate offices. Several institutions have already signed up for their Virtual Compass tours, including Ursuline College and The Taverne of Richfield.  More examples can be found online at VirtualCompass.com.

Fox, and his co-founder Daniel Sullivan originally created Virtual Compass as a capstone class project at John Carroll University. The team has been growing in size in cadence with their sales.
