Warm Mineral Springs is a National Register of Historic Places recognized health and wellness retreat owned by Sarasota County and the city of North Port Florida. The spring itself is the only warm water mineral springs in the State of Florida, and the largest warm water mineral spring in the world. The property which was privately owned was developed into a spa in the 1960s, during which time many archaeological discoveries were made, and eventually was purchased by local government bodies in December 2010.
