FixFest is a new area-wide spay and neuter day to be held in conjunction with the annual WorldFest “earth day” celebration on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Woodley Park in Lake Balboa, California. WorldFest is an all-day education and entertainment event focusing on sustainability, environmentalism, and animal welfare.
To help alleviate pet overpopulation, FixFest will bring together a coalition of local spay/neuter programs, which will offer low-cost, spaying and neutering of dogs and cats. Mobile spay/neuter units will be stationed at WorldFest. Other veterinary clinics throughout the Los Angeles area will also participate. Residents who bring their pets with an appointment to FixFest or one of the off-site participating facilities will receive a complimentary ticket to WorldFest so they can attend the popular eco-friendly family event while their pets are being "fixed." The first 40 participants at each clinic will also receive a gift bag with great items for people and pets.
