YUVsoft

YUVsoft Corp. offers software for 2D–to–stereo 3D conversion as well as 2D+Depth and stereo video processing.

YUVsoft is a private company formed by an R&D team from Moscow State University.  YUVsoft develops products by applying more than 10 years of experience in video processing, image processing and multimedia compression, as well as several years of 2D+Depth and stereo video processing experience. Over the past five-plus years, YUVsoft has completed custom video processing projects for a number of large IT companies.

The core YUVsoft's product encompasses a set of tools for semiautomatic 2D–to–stereo 3D conversion using depth maps to accelerate 3D film conversion and to decrease the required amount of manual work. It includes means for automatic and semiautomatic construction of plausible depth maps, fast depth map editing and correction, and high-quality automatic 2D+Depth-to-stereo conversion. The software is designed for post-production companies, VFX companies and 3DTV studios. The software is already in use at several companies and has been employed successfully for movie 2D-to-3D conversion.

Other notable tools include automatic geometry and color mismatch correction in stereo, stereo-to-multiview conversion and disparity map estimation.

YUVsoft also has broad expertise in video quality estimation, including stereoscopic, multiview and 2D+Depth video, and in 2D video processing for quality enhancement, compression and analysis.
