About

Community Child Care Council (4C’s) of Alameda County is a private non-profit agency that has been providing services to families, children and child care providers since 1972. Our mission, develop and coordinate resources to strengthen families and children, is accomplished through a variety of programs and services throughout Alameda County. These programs include: 1) Resource and Referral services for south county families seeking licensed child care. 2)  Our USDA awarded Child Nutrition Program which reimburses licensed child care providers for the meals they serve to children in their home. We monitor over 400 homes county wide to ensure the meals meet the USDA standards. 3) CalWORKs Stage 1, 2, & 3 contactor. We assist parents countywide in choosing quality child care and help them with the payments as they move from welfare to work. Our agency contracts with the California Department of Education/Child Development Division, Alameda County Department of Social Services and several private foundations and collaborations to provide these services.
