911 Translate is a service that was founded out of necessity. When the founder – Ed Fenne and his wife moved to Mexico from Wisconsin, they found that not being able to speak Spanish was a huge hindrance. They ended up buying things they did not need, not getting items they wanted, and not being able to reach places on time, as they could not communicate fluently in the language. In those situations, Ed used to call a friend who spoke Spanish and got him to translate his instructions to the local people.
Once, Ed’s van broke down while driving through Mexico and though he had motor assist insurance and they sent a tow truck immediately, the driver did not speak English. And Ed did not speak Spanish! Ed called his friend again. There must be thousands of such people who were facing similar problems in foreign lands!
Thus was born 911Translate. Your trusted partner when it comes to translations.
