When Cynthia was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2005, she had never heard of the word. Her research pointed to the importance of nutrition and environment as the very important areas to monitor to fight this disease. When reading about endometriosis, Cynthia realized she had to change her lifestyle. She decided to get rid of all the plastic in her kitchen that came in contact with her food. This proved to be a big project, much easier said than done.
The reason behind getting rid of the plastic is that plasticizers which make plastics malleable potentially leach hazardous chemicals onto food and drink. Some of these chemicals act like hormones in our body, which leads to disease.
While looking to make this change by changing all her refrigerator containers to glass and all plastic coated pots and pans to stainless steel or enameled cast iron products, she realized there is no place that offers all the items required. This is how Healthy Kitchenware was born!
Healthy Kitchenware offers glass baby bottles, stainless steel water bottles, stainless steel and glass storage containers for the kitchen and lunchbox, as well as useful information about avoiding plasticizers and how these can affect your health.
