About

Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES) was founded by Jennifer Muller following her success in creating the executive search business for Academic Keys. ACES was developed to provide a more precise, flexible search model with a full suite of support services for both the institution and candidates. This means higher value with more exact fits and shorter search times.

Academic Career & Executive Search satisfies a critical, long-standing need for institutions in higher education - affordable executive search for all levels of positions. We offer six levels of flexible search services at affordable prices. Searches are tailored to meet client needs and priced to fit institutions budgets.

The six levels include: Enhanced Search, Full Search, Candidate Generator, Multi-Hire and Interim Search. Contingency search services were added for certain types of positions like difficult to fill IT roles.

Our seasoned executive search team includes former District Vice Chancellor, Presidents, Provosts, Student Affairs leaders, Deans, CHRO's, leadership in healthcare and Fortune 500 companies. Collectively the team has served at public, private, two and four year institutions.

The combination of the firm’s expertise and their flexible search services will help institutions obtain ideal candidates, quickly and cost effectively. By design, services focus on senior, mid-tier, faculty and difficult to fill positions.

In addition, we are focusing more on candidates to assure a better fit and longevity. By understanding a candidate’s academic and nonacademic priorities and lifestyle preferences, the chosen candidate will fit not just with the institution but into the community, too. Adding this service makes the choice more precise and likely leads to long-term stability.

Academic Career & Executive Search realized candidates need help accurately articulating their value. Too often talented people are overlooked because their application materials don’t reflect their suitability and qualifications for a position. This is frustrating for both the hiring institution as well as for candidates. ACES new support services help candidates clearly articulate their value to institutions. To address this, they’ve added instructional webinars, coaching, and material review.
