About

Animal Lighthouse Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and rescue of Puerto Rico’s satos (dogs) and gatos (cats) with our partner no-kill shelter El Faro de los Animales. We aim to better satos’ and gatos' quality of life through pet care education, including spaying and neutering, proper veterinary care and socialization, and placement in loving homes. We regularly bring satos and gatos to the New York City area and beyond for care, fostering, and adoption, and we also organize adoption events and volunteer opportunities.
