When it comes to publicizing, launching, and creating excitement for a company, product or brand, APM Public Relations President and CEO, Angela P. Moore-Thorpe is passionate about public relations, and she knows her forte.  She is a “news junkie”  and “media magnet” that has authored feature stories, celebrity profiles, business and consumer issues, travel issues, health, home décor features, artist profiles, and music and book reviews, for both local and national publications, and our agency prides itself on a long and successful history.  
Writer-Journalist-Photographer-turned Publicist, Angela knows how to attract media coverage and has been penning articles for local and national magazines for over 20 years. APM has assisted its clients for a decade with dynamic and creative public relations solutions.
Her press releases have resulted in numerous interviews and media opportunities for her clients. From establishing compelling copy that resonates with target audiences, to creating unique and results-oriented publicity programs, Moore-Thorpe produces results.  She specializes in public relations, media relations, communications, including proactive article generation and bylined article placement and in writing compelling copy that sells. Moore-Thorpe's clientele includes high profile artists, celebrities, physicians, entrepreneurs, authors, and a gospel label. Prior to launching APM Public Relations in 1997, Moore-Thorpe was a widely read writer, journalist, and editor. She has written for Essence, J’Adore, Black Enterprise, Upscale, Weddings for Us, The Atlanta Tribune, Atlanta Good Life, The Atlanta Business Journal magazines and many others.  She has also honed her expertise as an Editor for Upscale magazine, and worked as a Public Information Specialist for CNN, where she investigated and recommended story ideas for the producers, and received and investigated news tips for “Breaking News; so she knows what editors are looking for.

Moore-Thorpe is an adjunct professor of English at two of Atlanta’s local colleges.  Moore-Thorpe has a Bachelors degree in Journalism and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida A&M University.  She will complete work toward a Masters of Art degree in English later this year.  Moore-Thorpe is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She is also passionate about art. Her love affair with art and writing led to her producing the Stonecrest Arts Festival and The Florida Black Heritage Festival.  She was named an “Imagemaker”  by Images magazine in Malibu, California in 2004, and she has received Proclamations from the Mayor of the city of Tallahassee, Florida in 2003 and the Mayor of Lithonia, Georgia in 2004. She was featured on the front page news of the Rockdale Citizen newspaper and was featured in several national art magazines to include: Images magazine, Paint magazine, Arts and Expressions magazine and numerous local publications.
