About

Aevolum Ltd is an independent UK film production company founded by Natalie Bark, dedicated to backing bold emerging filmmakers and giving award-winning short films a life beyond the festival circuit.

Aevolum operates across three connected strands. In film production, Aevolum develops and funds original short films, including the Coercion anthology — a growing series exploring power, obedience and the illusion of choice — and Gretel, a modern reimagining of the Brothers Grimm tale. Through the Aevolum Film Fund, individual supporters can back these productions directly from £25, with contributions funding everything from cast and crew to post-production.

Aevolum Cinema Presents is Aevolum's touring curated short film programme, bringing award-winning festival films to distinctive UK venues — historic theatres, arts centres and heritage buildings — reconnecting short films with real audiences after their festival run ends.

Aevolum is based in the UK and welcomes enquiries from filmmakers, venues, and supporters of independent British film.
