About

In 1983, George Machado started Air Duct Cleaning Company to do just what the name says: to clean Air Conditioning systems. He quickly found that the quality of service in this industry was far from consistent and in many cases, far from honest. Mr. Machado dedicated himself to do the best job possible and demanded that his employees do the same. We clean air conditioning systems by means of source removal of debris and contaminants, the standard set by NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) as one of its founding principles in 1992.

In 1993, with the company continuing to take even more responsibility for the air quality in homes, offices and work spaces we added an Indoo Air Quality (IAQ) Investigations division, and the corporate identity of the company evolved into The Machado Environmental Corporation.

Machado Environmental, dba Air Duct Cleaning Company is the most recommended air duct cleaning company in Southern California for the simple reason that we do it right and always stand by our work.

Properly cleaning and decontaminating an air conditioning or ventilation system is a technical activity requiring such basics as chemistry and toxicology in addition to a basic working understanding of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. On top of that rehabilitating an HVAC system has its own specialized areas of know-how including planning, containment, proper handling of contaminated material removal, insulation repair or replacement, sheet-metal practices, corrosion abatement, HVAC component protection, as well as good housekeeping. After all, we know very well that we are working in people’s homes and places of business.

We use a time-tested methodology that guarantees results. In fact, a recent joint research project by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association and the Environmental Protection Agency's research validated what we have been insisting on for years, in spite of wide-spread industry agreement that new technology was better. The project proved that duct system surfaces must be thoroughly brushed and the results directly inspected.

Add the necessity for a solid grasp of safety measures for both workmen and occupants and you have an activity that must be practiced by a knowledgeable, highly-experienced, very ethical company.

We believe in staying up to date with technology and always strive to improve the industry for you. We are experts in our field and actively support the following organizations.

* National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA)
