Chuck Waters is an author, storyteller, massage therapist, and lifelong adventurer whose work explores what it means to keep moving forward when life does not offer a clean resolution.
His memoir, 50 Things at 50, follows the experiences that shaped him through family estrangement, complicated relationships, loss, forgiveness, fear, personal change, and the difficult process of accepting what cannot be controlled. The book is not a bucket-list challenge or a neatly packaged redemption story. It is an honest account of reaching midlife, looking directly at the past, and choosing to continue without pretending everything has been fixed.
Chuck’s writing is grounded in lived experience. His journey has included raising a family, building a massage therapy practice, navigating fractured family relationships, losing his mother, stepping away from old patterns, and rediscovering a sense of possibility through travel and adventure. Running a marathon, skydiving, paragliding, exploring new places, and learning to ride a Onewheel became part of a larger effort to engage fully with life.
Through his books, essays, interviews, newsletters, and Behind Becoming stories, Chuck writes about forgiveness without forced reconciliation, personal growth without perfection, and the courage required to live with unresolved endings. His work speaks to readers facing midlife transitions, estrangement, grief, relationship patterns, or the realization that the life they expected is no longer the life in front of them.
Chuck lives in South Georgia with his wife, Neda. He has practiced massage therapy since 2014 and owns Zen Den Massage Studio in Hinesville, Georgia. More information about his writing and 50 Things at 50 is available at https://www.chuckwatersauthor.com/.
