Andy Taylor is a full-time abstract painter based in Nottingham, trading as Art Haus. Working in acrylic using the impasto technique and palette knife, he builds layered, textured works that move between darkness and light, chaos and calm - inspired by the British coastline, Derbyshire moorland, and dramatic open skies.
In his first year as a full-time artist, Taylor sold 40 original paintings and staged his debut solo exhibition, "Into the Light," at Broadway Gallery in Nottingham's Hockley quarter, selling six works and generating multiple commissions. His work is on loan to the Nottingham Trent University collection and represented by Limited 2 Art Gallery in Retford.
Taylor was recently featured in Nottinghamshire Live, and his work has been covered by Kemet FM.
