About

Hello students and comrades,

There are many ways for you travel free in DTC :

1. Labour Card : You can search eShram on Google and make a account on eShram website. Then generate the card and get it printed. Remember to list your occupation in Unorganized sector, e.g Plumber, Mason etc. Only make this if you all details are true. https://eshram.gov.in/

2. Student Pass : This method is the cheapest of all. Just print out a form, fill the details and get it signed from school or college. It cost Rs. 100 per month. LOL

If you forget your ticket in Bus, do not take any cash or valuables in your pockets or bag.  Your bag and wallets are the first one to be searched.

Once you get caught by these ticket checkers, DO NOT PANIC. If you act panicky, they will beat you, abuse you and still take your money. Do not talk back or get physically involved.

Instead, use the LAW to protect yourself. Tell them : You have right to Dignity under Article 21, Indian Constitution.
If you are a student, belong to any reserved category TELL THEM. This will protect you physically. If you are a student, reserved category or below 18, even better.

Then, next thing that these people do is threaten you with Police. According to sources - One of them will alledgedly make a fake call, pretend to call the police and intimidate you. Sometimes they even say that your phone will be seized.

Do not get afraid. Tell them to take you to the Police Station. They will not take you, just because Police have enough on their plate to be bothered by these things. According to Motor Vehicles Act, maximum punishment is 3 months and it is non cognizable offence. Police will think 10 times before harrassing someone with basic legal knowledge or a student. These ticket checkers  know that they only have chance to get money from you here.

Even if they take you to Police, file a counter FIR on them for physical assault, criminal intimidation etc. If they made any derogatory statements or abuses to you like chor, badmash OR abuses, file a case under  Section 505 Public Incitement which is non bailable offence.

Have confidence and success will follow.
