Established in 1955, the Art League of Long Island is a not-for-profit visual arts center located in the heart of Long Island. From art classes and workshops to exhibitions, special events and more, the Art League of Long Island provides the public with a full calendar of activities covering a wide variety of interests.
Adults, teens, and children can enroll in over 240 classes and workshops available year-round in the art studios and at off-site locations. Day, evening, and weekend classes in painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, photography, jewelry making, fiber arts, mosaics/glass art, graphic design and more are offered at all levels, from beginner to advanced. Art students can enroll at any time during the course of the year.
For over 20 years the Summer Art Adventure Program has been offering kids and teens ages 5-14 fun and creative activities in a variety of visual arts mediums. Flexible options allow young artists to participate in one or all weekly themed program sessions. Summer Portfolio Development sessions are geared to students ages 15-18 interested in pursuing careers in art and design.
Fine Art & Craft Fairs in late spring and early winter offer opportunities for artists and artisans to show and sell their work. Lectures and other cultural events are open to the public at no or low cost.
