Azotel Technologies was established in 2005 following the successful sale of Amocom Net and the transfer of all it's R&D (including the SIMPLer platform) to Azotel. Amocom Net, the first WISP in Europe to deploy Motorola's Canopy platform, was established in 2002 and quickly became the leading wireless broadband operator in Cork - Ireland's second city. Hence, SIMPLer was designed by WISPs for WISPs which is evident in all aspect of it's practical functionality.
   


Azotel now equips wireless broadband operators, also known as Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) with the technology and automated business processes required to build out commercially successful broadband networks - anywhere in the world.

Azotel Enabled Operators (AEOs) are free to concentrate on building their networks and adding subscribers, rather than having to worry about the technology and process, which is delivered in a simple, cost effective and proven manner via the SIMPLer platform.

Simplicity is achieved via the SIMPLer architecture. The only physical device (other than the radio network) required to become an Azotel Enabled Operator is known as a WIB-C (WISP in a Box - Client) - one port connects to the upstream provider while the second port connects to the radio network. As the network scales, more WIB-Cs are added in parallel or at other entry points to the network(s). Carrier grade quality is directly achieved through this simplicity i.e. SIMPLer has a Core Network uptime of 99.99916805% or five 9's. As a broadband business owner, you will appreciate the uptime is the critical success factor that attract and keep your key customers.

Cost Effectiveness is again achieved as a consequence of the simplicity introduced by the SIMPLer architecture. Additionally, AEOs benefit from the wealth of experience and knowledge which is integrated in with the automated processes and systems.
