FEATURING GUEST SPEAKERS RUSSELL SIMMONS AND JILLIAN MANUS
(May 25, 2016 - Los Angeles, CA) - CREATE’s creative women in tech summit -- Bad Ass Women Scaling Enterprises (BAWSE) is hosting its inaugural event June 15th-16th. The event will be held at event partners MakerCity LA and General Assembly’s downtown Los Angeles location.
Aiming to add structure and accessibility to the tech ecosystem, June’s event is the first in a series of semi-annual events supported with it’s accompanying app, described as a ‘LinkedIn for the Snapchat Generation’. The app will allow BAWSE attendees to schedule 15-minute video calls with high-level women and a few men right through the app.
The foundation of CREATE, the company producing BAWSE, is success through mindfulness and well-being. As tech, business, and wellness collide Jillian Manus, investor and former chair of Maria Shriver’s Women’s Conference in fireside chat with Russell Simmons, yogi, entrepreneur and author are the perfect match to kick of the event!
All attendees will receive a copy of Simmons book Super Rich: A Guide to Having it All, a New York Times best-seller that teaches success through meditation and grounding principles.
The summit has two tracks teaching women the “Business of Tech” and the “Tools of Tech”. Sessions include topics such as Lean Startup: Building an MVP without Code, Fundraising: What Every Women Needs to Know, and Growth Marketing for Customer Acquisition. Accomplished leaders in the tech space such as 500 Startups and Google funded Founder, Tara Reed of Kollecto, Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Women’s Venture Capital Fund, Monica Dodi, and former Head of Acquisitions for Hulu, Andrei Marinescu will lead interactive BAWSE Talks that allow women to begin apply learning immediately.
