Meditech International Inc. & Meditech Rehabilitation Centres Inc. herein referred to as
“Meditech” or “Company” is a Toronto based medical device company focused on the design
and manufacture of BioFlex medical products and treatment of patients in clinic.
• The Company was founded in 1989 by Dr. Fred Kahn, a surgeon who became passionate about non-surgical modalities to treat patients. In collaboration with other top scientists, engineers and clinicians, Dr. Kahn created the BioFlex line of low intensity laser and light therapy products, developed for both clinical and home use.
• Low intensity laser and light therapy has a wide range of clinical benefits including effective
treatment of musculoskeletal, wound, dermatological and neurological pain and disorders.
• Meditech operates out of three Toronto based locations including a Head Office,
Manufacturing Facility and Clinic. The Company employs 25 people in sales, manufacturing
and admin, and 7 people in Clinic operations. In addition, the group also has a CEO leading all operations and strategic initiatives.
• In addition to clinics around the world using BioFlex professional products, Meditech operates its own multidisciplinary pain management clinic in Toronto where the clinicians have delivered over 3 million treatments. Patients are able to expense treatments through private insurance.
• With the support of over 4000 scientific papers and 400 clinical studies on the benefits of low intensity laser and light therapy, Meditech has been able to build a substantial network of
BioFlex adopters including professionals and home users.
