About |
Balm Worldwide International Ministries, Inc. (BWIM) is a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded for religious, charitable, and educational purposes. Through a growing network of programs and partnerships, BWIM is committed to making whole-person wellness — mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual — accessible to individuals and communities who have historically been underserved or overlooked.
At the heart of BWIM's work is a simple but urgent conviction: that financial barriers should never determine who receives support. Too many people — particularly young adults — are experiencing mental, emotional, and spiritual crises with nowhere to turn. They may not qualify for public health programs. They may not fit neatly into a diagnosis-driven system. They may simply be in pain and unable to afford help. BWIM exists to meet those people exactly where they are.
Through its community development arm, Balm Care Community Action Center (BCCAC), BWIM is building a framework to offer faith-based, free and low-cost counseling and mental wellness services to underserved individuals and families locally and nationally. In May 2026, BWIM's Board of Directors formally approved a landmark partnership collaboration between Balm Care Community Action Center and Breath Center Global — a private clinical Christian counseling practice — establishing the governance structure and service infrastructure needed to bring this vision to full reality.
BWIM's programs include:
Balm Care Community Action Center — community outreach and whole-person wellness services for underserved populations, including the Balm 822 faith-based mental health support program.
Breath Center Global — clinically informed, faith-based counseling that operates outside of the traditional insurance and diagnosis-driven framework, serving individuals who need whole-person support regardless of diagnosis or financial status.
Balm Legacy — a five-year senior living ministry bringing consistent spiritual care and community to residents of local senior living facilities.
Balm Connect — weekly virtual life groups providing ongoing spiritual community and support.
POUR Services — monthly community ministry services held at the Dallas Civic Center.
International Missions — active ministry partnerships in India, Uganda, and Kenya, supporting children's education, pastoral leadership development, and orphan care.
BWIM is led by Dr. Darshan Nicole Williams, President and CEO, author of The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Lose, and apostolic leader overseeing 26 ministry leaders and churches internationally. Under her leadership, BWIM operates with a strong commitment to organizational integrity, transparent governance, and mission-driven decision-making.
The organization is currently seeking grant funding and community partnerships to bring its faith-based mental health services to full capacity — expanding access to free and low-cost counseling for those who need it most. Foundations, individual donors, and community partners who share a commitment to mental health equity and whole-person wellness are invited to connect.
